A handmade bamboo bead curtain featuring a tropical sunset scene with palm silhouettes, hand-painted on both sides using a sponge daub technique. Each curtain is made from individually shaped bamboo pieces, strung by hand on metal cord and mounted on a solid wooden hanging rail.

Warm oranges, pinks, and deep blues — this one sets a mood. It suits conservatories, garden rooms, and patio doorways particularly well, where the backlight picks up the colours as the sun comes through. Dense bamboo strands double as a natural fly screen in summer.

Dimensions: 90cm wide × 200cm drop (fits standard UK interior doors)
Material: Natural bamboo beads on metal cord, with a solid wood hanging rail
Hanging: Two pre-fitted hooks on the rail — hangs from small nails or cup hooks above the door frame. No drilling into the frame itself. Takes about two minutes.

Good to know

Will it fit my door?

It's made for a standard UK interior doorway up to around 80 cm wide. The curtain itself is 90 cm wide so it sits slightly past the frame. For wider openings, let us know and we'll advise.

How do I hang it?

Two small nails or cup hooks above the door frame. The rail has pre-fitted hooks that sit over them. No drilling into the frame, about two minutes to put up.

Does it actually keep flies out?

The strands are dense enough that most flies don't bother. It's not a sealed fly screen — it's a soft deterrent that also lets a breeze through.

Is it noisy?

Bamboo is a lot quieter than plastic or acrylic bead curtains — more of a soft clack than a rattle.

What's the difference vs the ones on Amazon?

Ours are hand-painted bamboo on metal cord with a solid wood rail. The cheap imports use stamped shapes on thin wire that rusts indoors within a season.
