Raincloud Rainbow Suncatcher
A blue resin cloud with six threads of rainbow hearts dangling beneath, each in a different jewel tone — red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Set into soldered metal frames for a stained-glass effect, the whole piece reads beautifully as a small rainbow falling out of a cloud.
Hung in a sunny window, the hearts catch the light and throw small flecks of colour onto the wall behind, with the threads moving gently in the air to keep the colours shifting. The design is striking from a distance and rewards a closer look — a piece that consistently draws comments from visitors.
A particularly thoughtful gift: rainbows after rain are an old image of hope and brighter days ahead, which makes this a lovely piece to send to a friend going through a hard time, someone moving home, or anyone who could do with a small daily lift.

Good to know
Where should I hang it?
A window that gets direct sunlight for at least part of the day — south or west-facing works best. When sun comes through, the coloured resin glows like stained glass and casts soft pools of colour into the room. In indirect light it still looks lovely, just without the lit-from-behind effect.
How do I hang it?
A small cup hook screwed into the top of the window frame is the neatest option. A suction cup hook works well if you don't want to make holes, though they can lose grip on cold glass in winter. The metal ring slips over either.
Will it spin?
Yes, gently — air movement around a window is usually enough to set it turning slowly, so the colours shift across the room as it moves. It's not designed for outdoor use where stronger wind would tangle the cord.
Can I hang it outside?
We'd keep it indoors. The resin and wire are reasonably hardy, but prolonged UV will eventually fade the colours and weather will dull the soldered seams. A porch, conservatory or covered window is a sensible middle ground.
What's the difference vs the ones on Amazon?
Look closely at the wire work — ours are properly soldered with even seams, not glued. The resin is poured cleanly into each section without bubbles or shrinkage at the edges. Cheap imports tend to use thinner wire that bends out of true, and the colours fade noticeably within a year or two even indoors.
